Which appointment is right for you?
NEW PRENATAL CONSULT - $100
Recommended for the early 3rd trimester.
This 90-minute telehealth appointment combines a prenatal breastfeeding class covering what you need to know about breastfeeding in the hospital setting.
Most prenatal classes cover what happens when everything goes as planned. However, having worked in the hospital setting, I know about the many detours that can take place. This prenatal consultation covers what happens in real life and helps you create the ultimate contingency plan.
During this consult, we will review:
who is who in the hospital
how to navigate interventions like inductions, c-sections, magnesium sulfate for hypertension
what to expect if you and your baby are separated temporarily or longer (for observation or admission to the NICU)
how to minimize the need for formula supplementation in cases where your baby:
is very sleepy
isn't latching
has low blood sugar
has jaundice
symptoms of tongue and lip ties

INITIAL LACTATION CONSULTATION IN YOUR HOME - $375
During our first visit, we discuss your concerns and questions. We review your and your baby's history, including your labor and delivery. Your baby will feed during the visit, with me showing you how to get the best possible latch. You will learn several ways to position them for optimal comfort. We will be able to determine how much milk your baby transfers at the breast/chest by weighing them before and after the feeding on my very precise baby scale. The visit ends with us creating a custom care plan and determining the next steps, including referrals to other care providers if necessary.
Additional $100 per baby. Extremely complicated cases that require more time incur $50 per additional hour beyond 2 hours.
All visits include 1 week of follow-up texts and phone calls.
There is no fee for me to travel to your home within a 20-minute drive from Maplewood, NJ. Beyond that, a travel fee of $1.25/mile applies depending on the distance. New York City consultations cost $150 plus tolls and parking. The Lactation Network appointments incur a $50 convenience fee for the home visit.

TELEHEALTH LACTATION CONSULTATION - $250
This visit is conducted via Google Meet. During our first visit, we discuss your concerns and questions. We review your and your baby's history, including your labor and delivery. I will demonstrate latch and positioning with a doll and breast/chest model on my end, with you using the same with your baby on your end. You will learn several ways to position them for optimal comfort. The visit ends with us creating a custom care plan and determining the next steps, including referrals to other care providers if necessary.
All visits include one week of text follow-up and phone calls.

PRIVATE PRENATAL BREAST/CHESTFEEDING CLASS - $75
Recommended for late 2nd to early 3rd trimester.
In this one-hour telehealth appointment, you will learn about normal newborn behaviors, how to position your baby in multiple holds, how to attain optimal latch, and most importantly comfortably breastfeed/chestfeed your baby. We will also discuss how to prevent and identify the most common problems, as well as review pumping and milk storage. It is recommended that birthing and non-birthing partner attend.

CARE SEAT CONSULTATION AND LESSON - $75 FOR FIRST SEAT, $50 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL SEAT
During your Car Seat Consultation, I travel to your home, teach you how to install your car seat(s), and review car seat basics.
First seat = $75
Each additional seat = $50
Installation check only = free if you come to me, otherwise $25
There is no fee for me to travel to your home within a 10-minute drive from Maplewood, NJ. Beyond that, a travel fee of $1.25/mile applies depending on the distance.
(No travel fee for meeting me in Maplewood)
FOLLOW-UP LACTATION CONSULTATION IN YOUR HOME - $300
During our follow-up visit, we will review your care plan and address current concerns. Your baby will feed during the visit and we will weigh and measure how much milk they transfer. The visit ends with us creating a revised care plan.
This visit includes one week of follow-up texting.
There is no fee for me to travel to your home within a 20-minute drive from Maplewood, NJ. Beyond that, a travel fee of $1.25/mile applies for the round-trip.

Do you have general lactation questions or need to create a back-to-work plan? This appointment serves as a class, not a consult. You can submit it to your insurance for reimbursement.
